Things To Remember
1. Food Allergy skin testing is not always accurate! You really can’t go by this, your body is constantly changing. I have gotten so many skin tests done and not once did dairy show up, NOT ONE TIME. Wheat did show up once for me that was it and I honestly did not trust that
2. Environmental Allergy Skin testing, I must say this process was more accurate for me. I’m allergic to almost everything in the environment. I will never be able to know what it is like to have a dog.
3. Allergy Blood test also are not accurate, nothing every showed up for me.
4. Allergy patch test is done to test for a specific substance & you must keep it on for 2 days I think. I found out I was allergic to nickel but I already knew that all along. Even when I wore jeans my
stomach would break out from my button .
Food Allergy Tips
Always read ingredients
Make sure when you eat out you tell your server you have an allergy
If traveling, always bring things you like to eat or you can find
yourself feeling so lost and hungry
Don’t ever forget your epi-pen or inhaler (you never know)
Don’t feel bad speaking up for yourself at any point, if it's a work event, a business meeting with lunch, going to a friend’s house for dinner. There is nothing to feel bad about! It is the life you were given andyou need to accept that! It is okay to be you and accept the truth.
Environmental Allergy Tips
I try not to take allergy medicine but if I have to I use Claritin D & I use nose spray (fluticasone) everyday.
Always make sure you have a clean house and try to keep your blinds closed (dust mites make there way in with the sunlight).
Make sure you wash all your bedding in hot water at least once a week (If you can get bed and pillow covers made for allergies it is a major help).
If you don’t have a germgaurdian you need to get one for at least your bedroom, it also has the perfect noise to fall asleep too.

Avoid soaps, detergent, lotions with no scent.
Take a shot of apple cider vinegar once a day, it helps relives asthma and allergies symptoms plus a million more benefits. My favorite is Bragg Organic Apple Cider Vinegar (not that expensive & you do not have to get organic)
Extra Virgin Coconut oil helps detoxify the body and help with allergies symptoms ( I add a little drop to my coffee in the morning, also do you know how good coconut oil is for the skin????? It is excellent for treating eczema and dry skin )
Green Tea, Spearmint, & ginger tea with honey I have every day! It helps with clearing my head and nose! So many wonderful benefits I use either Tazo Organic pan-fired green or Tazo Zen with pukka three ginger.
